Installation

What do we need for a fast installation?

First all necessary files are loaded down in the Downloadbereich (starting side). The HylaFAX Client install, simply the Bilschirmanweisungen follow. Now the computer should again be started, so that the new printer connection is registered. If the HylaFAX Client is started, printer HylaFAX is produced.

Now the HylaFAX Client can be used.

Installation:

First all necessary files are downloaded from the Downloadsection (startpage).
Install the HylaFAX-Client. After this you must restart your Computer.
Now the HylaFAX-Client should be started, now the necessary printer is installed.

If the global phonebook is used, an appropriate data base as well as the pertinent table must exist. For the correct data base table there is a Script under installation listing of HylaFAX-Client under MySQL , which is opened with any editor.
In the last line the following entry is located:

TO ''@'192.168.201.%';

this entry must be changed according to the existing network IP addresses.

Now the file is to be copied to the host where the MySQL data base is installed. Now follow installation instructions as root:

mysql -u root -p < /'path to hylafax.mysql'/hylafax.mysql

Now the table is completely created. Now the grants for the table of the individual user must be assigned now.

This Script can be used also for other data bases.

The installation of the HylaFAX-Client can lead to the fact that the MDAC von Microsoft is used. This only happens, if it is not yet installed.

Finished.

It is now possible from each application to dispatch a fax. Just select file/print and the printer HylaFAX. The fax sending dialog opens.

Control panel -> system -> advanced system settings -> Performance Settings -> Data Execution Prevention.
